As he grew up it was very difficult to get food or clothing. His aunt passed away and he was brought into the program when he was 11. At the age of 14, he began to lose his eyesight. Now, at 18, he is almost completely blind. Because of the care he receives at the home, he is able to attend a school for the blind.
